Futures With(out) Work is co-organizing the Eighth Nordic Workshop on Digital Foundations of Business, Operations, Strategy, and Innovation (DBOSI-26), which will take place at the University of Gothenburg, February 5th–6th, 2026. This year’s theme is Work and Digital Futures, exploring how emerging technologies transform workplace dynamics and organizational structures.
DBOSI provides an interdisciplinary arena for scholars from Information Systems, Management, Computer Science, Strategy, Entrepreneurship, among others, who share the interest in digital foundations of business, operations, strategy, and innovation.
But before the main workshop kicks off, we are especially thrilled to announce the DBOSI PhD Day on February 4, 2026, hosted at Ågrenska Villan.
The PhD Day is a unique opportunity for doctoral students to:
- Present and discuss their research in a welcoming, inspiring environment
- Receive feedback from an international team of top mentors
- Hear from keynote speaker Mahya Ostovar!
- Build networks with peers and senior scholars across disciplines

Submissions for both the PhD Day and DBOSI-26 are due December 1, 2025 via the DBOSI-26 submission portal. Notifications of acceptance will be sent by December 15, 2025.
